Purpose of the Job:

The overall purpose of this job is to serve the needs of residents and provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in a community. The responsibilities of this job include responding to residents’ needs, greeting visitors, completing light office duties, and maintaining a clean, friendly, and safe environment. Supports and lives out Immanuel’s Mission and CHRIST Promises.


Key Areas

Key Responsibilities and Duties of the Job


  • Provides customer service for residents, guests and staff.
  • Visits with residents and develops caring relationships with them.
  • Greets, give tours, and answers questions for prospective residents.
  • Delivers packages to residents.
  • Transports passengers as required.

Resident Safety

  • Responds to resident emergencies such as medical or fall-related problems.
  • Keeps Community clean and safe.
  • Ensures doors are secure.

Office Administration

  • Assists with maintaining resident files and shredding old documents.
  • Answers phone.
  • Makes copies and sends faxes for residents and business operating needs.

Work Area Maintenance

  • Turns off lights prior to ending shift.
  • Fixes minor maintenance problems such as plunging toilets and checking thermostats.
  • Notifies on-call maintenance staff of problems not resolved by staff.
  • Performs light housekeeping duties as required.


  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.



  • High School Diploma/GED is required.


  • One (1) year of general patient care or senior living experience is required.

Other Requirements-

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all types of people.
  • Ability to show concern and compassion for residents.

  • Ability to remain flexible as daily priorities change.
