Are you a Bistro Attendant looking to work for an amazing organization by serving others and connecting with your co-workers?

 

Immanuel Communities is seeking a Part time Bistro Attendant to work Saturdays from 6:00am to 2:00pm at The Landing, located at 3500 Faulkner Drive, Lincoln, NE 68516.  The Landing has 90 independent living, 34 assisted living and 14 memory support apartment homes. This is a customer-facing position, so prior customer service and POS/register experience is required. Must be at least 18 years old to work in this position.

 

This position will pay up to $19.68/hour.  Pay will be based upon experience, certifications, skills and education.  

 

 

Job Duties & Skills Required

What You Will Do

Food/Beverage Preparation

  • Prepare and sell a variety of coffee drinks.
  • Follow recipes and preparation techniques for espresso, café latte, cappuccino and other types of coffee drinks.
  • Prepare foods such as sandwiches, pizzas and salads.
  • Prepare “grab & go” items such as sandwiches, salads various snack items.
  • Operate POS (point-of-sale) system to process orders and charge accounts.

Safety/Sanitation

  • Maintain cleanliness of the Bistro and work areas throughout the day.
  • Wash and sanitize Bistro dishes.
  • Sanitize work areas, utensils and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance of food safety and handling policies.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain inventories by ensuring coffee bean and brewing supplies are replenished.
  • Assist with ordering inventory by monitoring supplies and equipment.
  • Notify Executive Chef of expected shortages.

Other

  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

 

 

Skills & Requirements

Two (2) years of food service experience in a casual dining environment or related experience is required.

High School Diploma/GED is required.

 

Must be at least 18 years old to work in this position.
