Immanuel Communities is seeking a Full time Prep Cook to work 30 to 35 hours/week at Deerfield, located at 13731 Hickman Road, Urbandale, IA 50323.  Deerfield has 122 independent living apartment homes, 32 independent living patio homes, 20 assisted living, 24 residential care apartment homes and 30 long-term care/skilled nursing suites. This position will also assist the bistro attendant, which is a customer-facing position, so prior customer service and POS/register experience is required. Must be at least 18 years old to work in this position. Pay will be based upon experience, certifications, skills and education. Must be available Sundays and available to work various shifts during the week. Start time will be as early as 7:30am, and some holidays will be required.

This position will pay up to $16.61/hour.  Pay will be based upon experience, certifications, skills and education. Must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this position.

What You Will Do

The responsibilities of this job include stocking supplies, cleaning kitchen area, and washing, cutting, peeling, wrapping, and storing food. 

Skills & Requirements

High School Diploma/GED is required.

One (1) year of food preparation experience is required.

Must be at least 18 years years of age.
