Immanuel Communities is seeking a Floor Technician to work at Deerfield located at 13731 Hickman Road, Urbandale, IA 50323. Deerfield has 122 independent living apartment homes, 32 independent living patio homes, 20 assisted living, 24 residential care apartment homes and 30 long-term care/skilled nursing suites.

 

The schedule for the full time position is Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, occasional weekends and holidays. 

 

Pay will be based upon experience, certifications, skills and education.

What You Will Do

The floor technician is primary responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of public areas, staff offices, and patient rooms. Also responsible for quality and timeliness of cleaning.

Floor Responsibilities

·       Cleans and disinfects patient rooms and public areas as assigned daily following established procedures.

·       Conducts all cleaning activities and operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner as prescribed in the departmental training sessions.  Ensure cleanliness of areas of responsibility.

·       Reports all building and/or furniture maintenance requirements to the Environmental Services Team Lead.

·       Attends all meetings and training sessions as required.

·       Maintains established department policies, procedures and objectives, concerning quality assurance, safety, environmental conditions and infection control.

·       Maintains professional attitude with patients, visitors, and other hospital personnel while assuring confidentiality of patient information.

·       Participates in all safety, security and infection control programs that are mandatory as well as those required and provided by the department.

·       Demonstrates work practices consistent with Immanuel and department-specific safety, security and infection control policies.

Supplies

·       Stocks cleaning cart.

Other

  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

 

Skills and Requirements

One (1) year of housekeeping experience is required.

 Minimum age of 18 years old required.
