Immanuel Communities is seeking a Full-time Cook to work at Deerfield, located at 13731 Hickman Road, Urbandale, IA 50323.  Deerfield has 122 independent living apartment homes, 32 independent living patio homes, 20 assisted living, 24 residential care apartment homes and 30 long-term care/skilled nursing suites. Schedule for this position varies and requires availability to work breakfast/lunch and lunch/dinner shifts to include weekends and holidays, and will be based on the needs of the the community.  NO LATE NIGHTS--EVER! 

This position will pay up to $19.68/hour.  Pay will be based upon experience, certifications, skills and education.

What You Will Do

The responsibilities of this job include all types of food preparation, including but not limited to baking, grilling, stove-top and oven cooking; and cleaning the kitchen. Addtionally assists in any duty as needed in the kitchen area

Skills & Requirements

High School Diploma/GED is required.

Minimum age of 18 years old required.

One (1) year of cooking experience beyond the level of fast food/fast casual is required.

BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required, or willing to obtain certification if hired (company pays for training/certification).
