Immanuel Communities is seeking a Full-time Sous Chef to work at Lakeside, located at 17475 Frances Street, Omaha, NE 68130.  Lakeside has been voted “Best of Omaha” in the senior living category for 15 years.  It has 89 independent, 49 assisted living and 12 memory support apartment homes along with 18 lofts. Schedule will be either breakfast/lunch, mid-shift, and/or lunch/dinner on Saturdays through Wednesdays (off Thursday and Friday), but subject to change, based on needs of the community. Some holidays will be required.

This position will pay up to $26.00/hour.  Pay will be based upon experience, certifications, skills and education.

What You Will Do

The responsibilities of this job include all types of food preparation, including yet not limited to baking, grilling, stove-top and oven cooking; and cleaning the kitchen. Addtionally may be assigned to oversee progress of kitchen staff abilities, kitchen projects or special events, certain aspects of food preparation in the kitchen, inventory management and oversees the kitchen function when the Team Lead of Food & Nutrition Services is not available. 

Skills & Requirements

Two (2) years of culinary experience is required

Must have BLS certification (Basic Life Support) or willing to obtain if hired (company pays for training)

Must be at least 19 years old.
